Let's get things started

It may seem like a long time since the last post, but Josh is still sick, so we've been in a bit of a time warp. We've also been on vacation.

So...we have some serious catching up to do.

We took Lila to to her first movie yesterday - "Ratatouille" - and we think she loved it. If the place weren't packed with kids, I probably would have felt bad about Lila's constant full-voice commentary that began with the Disney logo ("Ooh! Look, a castle! Who lives in that castle, Mommy? It is a pretty castle. I love castles. Castles are my friend...") and ended only when we picked her up and physically removed her from the theatre as the final credits expired ("Can we watch it again? Where did the movie go? Why are we going? Why did the lights go on? Where did the music go? But I am not finished! Hey!...").

Josh and I loved it, too. Simple enough for Lila to digest, it was also wonderfully structured, honest, well-written, bold, and original. What a treat that our first shared cinematic experience would be such a winner. We highly recommend it.
