Since I'm waiting for the new camera, I thought I'd post a couple of oldies but goodies from the archives. This one above I may have reposted before, but it is one of my all time favorites because there is something so elderly in Lila's gaze. I find it sort of hillarious and touching at the same time, like she's saying, "get me out of this crazy outfit, and bring me my bridge and some legs that work! Please!...Oh, okay, take another picture first."
And here's Election Day, 2004.
Today was election day for primaries here in California, and we went down to a new polling place at the park, and the volunteer who checked us in remembered me and Lila from our old polling location. Lila got a new sticker of her own, plus mommy's and daddy's. 3 stickers. Exciting! To Lila anyway.
I think this one is from Lila's lovely baby naming ceremony, when she would have been about 4 months old. That's Nana Ann looking adoringly, and it makes me feel so good that Lila gets to enjoy both of her vivacious Nanas. All you have to do is stare cross-eyed at your own fingers and they'll practically give you a trophy. Everyone should have nanas like that.
